Wolfgang MANTL, born in Vienna on March 18, 1939, graduated from a liberal arts high school (Hietzinger Gymnasium) with honours in 1957, 1957-1961 studied law at the University of Vienna, 1961 received the degree (Doctor iuris). Studies in Cambridge, Dijon, Exeter, Grenoble and Den Haag. 1962-1965 Assistant at the College for World Commerce („Hochschule für Welthandel“), today University for Economies in Vienna, since 1965 at the University of Graz. 1974 Assistant Professor („Habilitation“) for General Theory of State, Political Science and Austrian Constitutional Law. 1977 Associate Professor, 1979 Full Professor für Political Science and Constitutional Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Graz. 1990-1994 Head of the Institute. Student of Gustav E. KAFKA and successor of Ludwig K. ADAMOVICH, the current President of the Austrian Constitutional Court. |
